However, there are things you can do to prevent it.
Join our expert Exercise Physiologist team at Ignite Health & Fitness; we will explain how the heart functions, the difference between stroke and heart attack as well as the risk factors associated with each condition.
We will then discuss current management strategies and simple lifestyle switches you can do to keep your heart healthy.

SENIORS FIRST AID & CPR
Tuesday 14 December 10am - 12pm
Learn practical tips and potentially lifesavings skills to keep you and your loved ones safe at home.
First Aid for Seniors is a specifically designed 2-hour course which will focus on CPR skills, heart attack & stroke, fractures & dislocation, sprains & strains, choking, and envenomation (venomous bites).
Mitchell Harris from Beaches First Aid has been running courses in the local area for over 6 years and understands the importance of having the skills necessary to stay one step ahead of incidents and accidents. He has designed the course so that it covers a range of situations and scenarios that an older person may encounter in everyday living.
The course in non-accredited (no tests) but covers topics most relevant to seniors and will give you the basics in first aid. Great for family care givers as well.
Every participant will receive a take home CPR chart and first aid manual.
